To add your birthday or work anniversary, go to the Apps section in Microsoft Teams, open Ava, and start a chat. Type help in chat and send the message. A menu will appear—select Set Dates, then follow the prompts to enter your details.
To import or collect team details, open Ava in Microsoft Teams and start a chat. Type help in chat to access the menu, then select the option for team data import. Choose your team and download the provided file. Fill in the required dates while keeping names and emails unchanged. Once completed, attach and send the file back in the Teams chat with Ava.
If you prefer Ava to collect data directly from your teammates, simply click on Ask Dates, and Ava will send notifications to team members who have not yet submitted their details.
Ava automatically tracks users present in the channel where it is added. Billing is calculated on a pro-rata basis, meaning charges are applied only for the days a user was active. For example, if a user joins or leaves within a month and is active for 15 days, they will only be billed for those 15 days instead of the full month.
To add a new admin, open Ava in Microsoft Teams and start a chat. Type help in chat, then select Configure Admins from the menu. Choose your team and enter the name of the user you want to assign as an admin.
To access insights, open Ava in Microsoft Teams and start a chat. Type help in chat and select Celebration Analytics from the menu. Choose your team, and Ava will display analytics related to birthdays and work anniversaries.
To update the notification channel, open Ava in Microsoft Teams and start a chat. Type help in chat, then select either Birthday or Work Anniversary, depending on what you want to update. After selecting the option, choose your team and select the new channel where Ava should send notifications.
To stop birthday or work anniversary notifications for a team, open Ava in Microsoft Teams and start a chat. Type help in chat, then select either Birthday or Work Anniversary, depending on what you want to disable. After selecting the option, choose your team and uncheck the Enable Notifications setting. This will stop notifications for that team.
